Job Description Graduate Lead Educator required to join our highly qualified team in an established family run early years service. Working as part of our team with children aged between 2.5 to 12 years. Minimum QQI Level 7 Qualification or QQI Level 8 in Early Years Education or equivalent as approved by the Department of Children, Disability and Equality (DCDE). Full time position. 40 hours per week. All year contract. Salary in line with ERO or above depending on qualification and experience. Work permit for Ireland must be in place prior to application. Roles and Responsibilities Work with children and experienced educators to support childrens education and development Lead the planning of safe, creative and appropriate learning opportunities Ensure all activity and practices in room adheres to Aistear the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework (NCCA,2024) in line with a play based emergent curriculum and policies and procedures in line with the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016. To report regularly to the Manager and Assistant Manager and keep them updated Duties & responsibilities: Formulate and operate a programme of activities that meet the individual needs and interests of children under the ECCE and SAC programme in conjunction with other team members and the Manager. To keep records of childrens development and learning journals, share this with parents, and other key adults in the childs life. Ensure learning journals are updated with accurate and relevant information about childrens activities and development. Support all staff to engage in good team working Support team members to see out any training or support they may require to fulfil their roles and responsibilities Ensure all record keeping is accurate and up-to date within your designated area, in cooperation with the room team. Ensure room checks outdoor checks are conducted in line with service procedures and Health and Safety requirements Liaise with and support parents and other family members To be involved in working activities e.g. training, staff meetings, room meetings, parents and other service events. Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the service philosophy is fulfilled. Read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role as deemed appropriate for the needs of young children. To develop and maintain strong partnerships and communications with parents/families to facilitate day-to-day caring and early learning needs To ensure the provision of a high-quality inclusive environment to meet the needs of individual children. Undertake and organise certain domestic jobs within the room e.g. preparation of snacks, cleansing of equipment and other such duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the Manager. The successful candidate must have Relevant Qualification QQI Level 7 or above. Tusla Child Protection relevant training Garda Vetting is mandatory and will be provided by the service. First Aid (provided by the service). A genuine interest in working with young children in partnership with an early years team. Start date August 2025  Hours 40 Salary Minimum 16.28 per hour and is negotiable depending on qualification and experience.
