Estimation & Bid Leadership Develop accurate, competitive, and commercially sound estimates for switchgear and modular power solutions. Ensure precision in material selection, labour costing, and value engineering. Review and interpret technical drawings, electrical specifications, and bid documents to develop highly accurate, competitive, and commercially sound estimates.  Partner closely with the sales team and wider organisation to drive bid-winning strategies that align with customer needs, industry standards, and CEL's commitment to excellence—delivering competitive, high-quality solutions that result in winning outcomes. Leverage AI-driven estimating tools to enhance cost, efficiency, forecasting, risk assessments, and bid competitiveness. Maintain and refine a structured database of cost information, ensuring efficiency in future bids and improved estimation accuracy. ?? Strategic Commercial Input Refine and optimise cost structures to drive greater efficiency and bid competitiveness while maintaining profitability targets. Track and monitor project scope changes, identifying cost implications and adjusting estimates accordingly. ?? Technical & Industry Expertise 5+ years' experience in estimating electrical switchgear and associated products for industrial, commercial, or data centre environments. Degree in Electrical Engineering is highly regarded. Expertise in ePODs and modular power solutions is a strong advantage, particularly for data centres and large-scale projects. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and layouts to develop accurate, cost-effective estimates. ? Commercial Acumen & Strategic Thinking Deep understanding of cost structures, value engineering, and margin optimisation. Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to streamline processes for greater efficiency. Experience with key manufacturers and vendor supply chains is beneficial. ? Advanced IT & Estimating Systems Expertise High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data-driven estimating tools. Experience with AI-powered estimating software and costing systems to enhance efficiency and automate bid processes. ?
