eFlexes is currently recruiting for an English/German-speaking candidate with an interest in Irish history to join our client based in Co. Clare.
This is a seasonal role from March to September and will be rostered over a 7-day period, so flexibility is required.
The ideal candidate must be fluent in both German and English and have a passion for history and culture Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing guided tours of the castle in English and/or another European language (German) Adapting and delivering your script to accommodate groups, schools, and various nationalities.
Having a good knowledge of Irish history.
Providing outstanding customer service in a friendly and outgoing manner.
Reporting any health and safety matters to the Manager.
Undertaking any other duties as assigned by the Castle Guides Supervisor.
Handling ad hoc requests for private and corporate tours.
Essential Requirements Fluent in German Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
Confident speaking in public.
Capable of working independently with visitors while also collaborating in a team environment.
Good knowledge of Irish history.
Flexibility is required, including working rostered duties, weekends, and public holidays.
Wearing period costumes during working hours is mandatory.
