To support this launch, the EMEA Accounting team is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst, to support local statutory compliance and US GAAP reporting for our team in Cork.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesPreparation of high quality financial statements across a range of accounting frameworks;Responsible for month end close activities including reviews, balance sheet reconciliations and analytics;Preparation of statutory trial balances including identification and posting of local GAAP adjustments;Supporting external audit process;Demonstrating strong technical accounting acumen to be able to conclude on accounting treatment for complex business related transactions;Business partnering with other Amazon teams, including Treasury, Tax, Public Relations, Transfer Pricing and Corporate Legal;Collaborating with global Accounting teams to identify opportunities for enhanced standardization;Being a strong team player, who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, taking ownership and demonstrating self-initiative. About the TeamAmazon Affinity Groups
Basic QualificationsExperience with accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and/or a multinational organization;Certified accountant qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent);Proficient Microsoft Excel user.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of IFRS or other accounting frameworks;Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology;Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - Experience managing multiple projects with competing schedules;Excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify and communicate risks to leadership;Passion to continuously enhance processes and reduce manual efforts through automation or optimization initiatives.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
