Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically minded
Automation & Robotics Engineer
to join our team.
This role will be responsible for
programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial robots and automation systems
, as well as supporting wider automation and process improvement projects.
It is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program, configure, and test industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB,) to meet production requirements.
Support automation projects from concept through to implementation, including robot integration with CNC machines, conveyors, sensors, and vision systems.
Troubleshoot robot and automation issues to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to optimize robotic processes for quality, safety, and efficiency.
Assist with preventive maintenance of robotic systems and automated equipment.
Document programs, processes, and troubleshooting steps to build knowledge for the team.
Stay updated on new robotic technologies and recommend improvements or upgrades.
Requirements
Degree in
Robotics, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
, or a related field.
Hands-on experience (academic or industrial) with
robot programming and automation systems
.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems.
Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, or machine vision systems is desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
Self-motivated with a keen interest in robotics and automation in manufacturing.
Preferred (but not essential)
1–2 years' experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
Exposure to industrial robot brands (Fanuc, ABB, UR, KUKA, etc.).
Understanding of CNC machine integration and industrial automation.
