Join STS Group (Specialist Technical Services) as our next Junior Quantity Surveyor.
STS Group is part of the Dussman Group of companies, an electrical and instrumentation engineering contractor offering design, installation and commissioning services across Ireland, UK, Europe and the Middle East.
Since its formation, STS Group has broadened its scope to become a full-service provider to Pharma, Data Centre, Utilities, Oil, Gas & Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Transport and other sectors.
We have ongoing work and a full order book ahead.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our mission critical projects (pharma/data centres) in Cork.
The successful applicant will work closely with the project leadership team and wider Commercial department to ensure successful delivery of the projects for our clients and stakeholders.
Reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor, here are the key duties:
Provide commercial and contractual administration support to the Senior QS and/or Commercial Manager
Undertaking internal valuations and production of cost reports
Supporting the management of applicable subcontract packages and overseeing payments to subcontractors, suppliers and consultants
Assisting with reporting on project budgets and variations
Distribute and track invoices to various project owners / leads for approval
Respond to and resolve enquiries from Suppliers, Procurement, and Finance departments (including monthly accruals)
Key Qualifications
Tertiary Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Trade Qualification or similar
1-3 years postgraduate experience in the construction sector
Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets
Strong analytical skills and ability to present findings
Good communication skills and high computer literacy
Full license and own reliable transport
