Rapid Responder

Heritage Homecare is seeking to recruit a dedicated Rapid Responder to join its South Dublin operations.
This is a 25 hour a week guaranteed contract, reporting to our Quality Manager and based in our South Dublin office in Sandyford.The role has core hours of Monday - Friday 8am - 2pm with scope for flexibility for the right candidate to work additional hours up to 35 hours per week.Rates of Pay:Monday- Friday- €17.00 an hourSaturday- Sunday- €20.00 an hour if workedThe Role:This role involves providing temporary care services to new clients; those already at home or those awaiting discharge from hospital.
The clients may have needs that vary from moderate to high complex needs and the Rapid Responder will work with them over a two-week period to support a settled and comprehensive service.
The Rapid Responder will then provide guidance to the newly allocated carer team and assist with introductions and shadow visits.
Some mentoring of less experienced carers is anticipated to the point where they are skilled and confident in delivering a service that fully meets the clients needs.
The role will also require successful candidates to provide direct client care and to cover planned annual leave and day to day absences to ensure continuity of care.
This will be within reason and agreed with their direct manager.
Reporting directly to the Quality Manager the main functions of the role are:Provide direct client care from 8am to 2pm Monday to FridayBe available and provide temporary care services to new clients for those already at home or those awaiting hospital dischargeEffectively commence new home care packages as directed by the care management teamCover clients for annual leave/sick leave as agreed by direct line managerBe able to effectively communicate with team members, and support working relationships with other health professionals along with office staffRespond professionally to emergency on call situations, ensuring all needs are metAssist and support Quality team in ensuring compliance with care standards and regulationsSupport staff within the team by completing shadowing and introductionsThis list is not exhaustive and may require taken on additional duties that maybe assigned by Quality ManagerCandidate Requirements:Have availability to work Monday to Friday from 8am to 2pm.QQI Level 5 Healthcare Modules2+ Years of Home Care ExperienceFull Clean Drivers Licence and own carAn understanding of the company ethos and values while recognising and respecting the values of individuals.Excellent listening skills and a compassionate patient demeanour.An ability to mentor individuals, offering advice and direction that will influence and support them towards success.Superb organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload and multitask.Strong attention to detail and ability to use initiative and work under pressure.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Fluent English speaker.Appropriate permission to work full time in Ireland.
