Senior QA Engineer


As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a key role in improving the quality of software produced by the team. Working closely with developers and product owners, the Senior QA Engineer will ensure the delivery of high quality software and be a vital part of building a test suite to ensure the robustness of our CI/CD release pipeline.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Approach testing with goal of improving product reliability, release process and software development life cycle.
  • Maintain and contribute to the automated regression testing framework to ensure reliable and efficient test runs.
  • Bring knowledge and experience around tooling and frameworks for the various testing scenarios.
  • We are currently using Webdriver.io, Cucumber, Appium and Browserstack as our E2E testing stack and will seek the successful candidate to evolve this in line with new approaches and requirements.
  • Contribute to E2E, Mobile, Internal tooling, API, Database and Email automation suites.
  • Work across our agile squads and contribute to release planning by working with the Product Owner to agree test automation steps and priorities.
  • Contribute to the documentation on manual test cases, automation frameworks and  platform knowledge .
  • Maintain and contribute to our continuous build pipeline to ensure automated test coverage.
  • Sign off on quality for each release to production.


Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years related experience in QA with approximately 2 years working with automation testing.
  • Engineer using automated tools and frameworks such as: TypeScript / JavaScript, Selenium, Webdriver.io, Appium or similar.
  • Mid-level to advanced coding skills using TypeScript / JavaScript.
  • A proven track record of delivering UI test automation for web, API and distributed systems in an Agile nevironment.
  • Automating UI and API tests for environments being built using the following technologies: Angular, Ionic, .NET, SQL Server, AWS, Microservices.
  • Performance and load testing experience is a bonus.
  • Experience working within a Continuous Integration environment using tools like Teamcity, CircleCI, Octopus, AWS.
  • As we are a remote team - excellent communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.


Note: This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere within 3-4 hours of Irish Standard Time (GMT) and can be contract or permanent
