Our Client is a leading Charity operating across Ireland supporting some of the most marginalized individuals, couples, and families experiencing Homelessness.
Currently Hiring an experienced Case Worker for their Cork Operation. Full time – 35 hours per week 5/7 days including weekends (day & evening shift)
Responsibilities
- To provide meals, laundry, clean bedding, and other necessities to our service users while maintaining a high level of service quality and a safe and secure environment.
- To evaluate service consumers' needs and direct them to the proper organisations.
- Providing vital work to several residents, documenting this work, standing up for them, and keeping the team and line manager informed of developments.
- To communicate with county councils, health boards, and outside organisations.
- To guarantee adherence to all quality assurance rules and procedures.
- To support the nursing and medical staff in providing service users' healthcare
- Being a team player means participating in handovers, managing volunteers, and assisting your teammates in making sure that all decisions are made.
- To determine your own professional development within your work and take part in yearly appraisals and supervision with your line manager.
- To guarantee adherence to all policies and procedures, especially those about confidentiality, code of conduct, and health and safety.
- To always carry out your duties professionally while upholding a high standard of work that is consistent with companies values and ethos.
Requirements
- Two years of paid experience providing social services, ideally in a residential setting (required)
- Accredited Qualification in Case Management and Social Studies
- Strong familiarity with risk assessment systems and procedures (e.g., S/U Risk Assessment, Lone Working, Activity Risk Assessments)
- Process an awareness of low threshold working and harm reduction
- Gain insight into the causes of homelessness and the problems that people face, as well as the kinds of assistance that homeless services may provide to clients with complicated support requirements.
- Possess expertise in key working, needs assessment, and assistance planning for individuals with complex needs.
- Understand the resources that the statutory and non-profit sectors offer to those who are homeless. Recognise the significance of health and safety in a home environment.
