Role Profile

We have an exciting development opportunity in the National Retrofit Directorate's Delivery Department, reporting to the Head of Delivery.

 

As Programme Manager Warmer Homes Development, the successful candidate will play a key role in the Retrofit Directorate and will work with programmes across the Directorate and its three departments: Delivery, Technical and Communities & National Retrofit. You will lead new programme development including, inter alia, managing/supporting the implementation of alternative pathways, scheme pilots, supporting any change/enhancements to the existing WH programme including alternative heating technologies etc.

 

The key objective is to support SEAI Warmer Homes Programme to ensure the key performance indicators as outlined in the Climate Action Plan and agreed with our parent Department (Department of Environment Climate and Communications) are achieved and supporting reductions in Warmer Homes waiting list. 

 

This position will play a key role in the National Retrofit Directorate's Delivery Department and will evolve in line with government policy changes and strategic priorities for SEAI.

 

The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of Ireland's National Retrofit Plan.


Essential Requirements

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate.

  • A degree (a minimum of NFQ Level 7 or greater) or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant discipline such as Engineering, Science, or Architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of working in this or a related sector or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of communities, building technologies industry, buildings, environmental or another relevant sector.
  • Strong project management and organisation skills and knowledge of business process development experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presenting, public speaking and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Full Driving Licence.


Desirable Requirements
  • Experience in the energy retrofit sector.
  • Knowledge of Irish Government policy on energy poverty and Ireland's Climate Action plan.
  • Strong understanding of technical solutions to scale carbon reduction on energy poverty homes.
  • Strong team player and flexible.


Eligibility to Work

The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland. To qualify, candidates must hold a valid visa on the date of application and where applicable to support a candidate's application, candidates must submit a valid work permit/visa confirming permission to work in Ireland when requested. Failure to submit the required evidence, and failure to hold a valid permit/visa during the period of the contract, will result in the application and/or contract of employment being rendered void.
