Requirements

About the Role

Reporting to our Head of Sales - UK & IE, you will be responsible for delivering growth to our revenue & client base in the Republic of Ireland by establishing & managing sales relationships with school leadership, admin teams and teachers to drive adoption of Compass in the public, Catholic and independent sectors, as well as helping to identify and manage sales relationships with partners.

Specifically, you will:

Pipeline Generation and Management

  • Work closely with the Head of Sales UK & IE, IE Country Manager, existing Sales Team & Marketing Team to develop and execute a viable sales strategy aligned to growth objectives.
  • Generate and progress new business opportunities from both incoming leads and targeted outbound lead generation.
  • Learn, leverage and contribute to refining our lead generation process.
  • Generate and progress upsell opportunities of Compass modules and integrated hardware with existing customers.
  • Maintain accurate sales records in the CRM platform to ensure the Head of Sales is able to draw information regarding pipeline, forecasts and opportunities at any stage of the sales cycle.
  • Maintain accurate sales records in the CRM platform to allow for “any-time” analysis of performance.
  • Collaborate with the Onboarding and Customer Success Team, to ensure a successful handover of information and facilitate a smooth commencement of the onboarding process.

Sales Progression and Commercial Management

  • Become an expert in the Compass Product and participate in regular training & informational sessions to ensure consistent and up-to-date knowledge on all Compass features and functions.
  • Deliver demonstrations of Compass in person and remotely, and handle queries, stakeholder concerns and product configuration questions arising during the sales process.
  • Undertake commercial proposal generation and negotiation and contract close activity.
  • Own and manage large scale opportunities including Bid and other relevant framework tenders within the Republic of Ireland.

Market Intelligence and Marketing Support

  • Support and attend local and national marketing events as defined in the marketing plan/strategy (e.g. NAPD).
  • Provide accurate and timely market and customer intelligence to the marketing and product teams.
  • Collaborate with the Product Team to successfully implement any product changes and product enhancements necessary to address priority customer issues.
  • Support the Onboarding and Training Teams to bring new customers onto the Compass platform quickly and efficiently.

About You

A background in MIS Support or working in a school would be advantageous, however, what's more important to us is that you communicate well, show a natural flair for problem-solving, and have the ability to learn fast on the job.

You will also:

  • Have sound knowledge of the IE education sector, ideally with a solid understanding of and experience of working within EdTech/MIS systems/SaaS.
  • A true passion for putting customers first and delivering a consultative approach to sales.
  • Have a highly proactive nature, with the ability to think both creatively and commercially.
  • Show resilience and tenacity and be readily able to deal with objections, challenges and set-backs.
  • Showcase exemplary presentation and verbal communication skills - a great listener and creative problem solver.
  • Have the ability to build relationships and rapport quickly and effectively across a wide range of stakeholder and personalities.
  • Be commercially astute with the ability to generate commercial proposals that balance the needs of the customer and the needs of the business.
  • Hold sound knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously but also work well within a team environment.
  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills.
