You will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge capabilities dealing with billions of records. As part of the RDI team, you’ll:

Be an integral member of a cross-functional team in an agile environment. Develop platform capabilities to meet business requirements. Determine operational feasibility of proposed solutions. Validate solutions using proof of concepts and prototypes . Write high-quality clean code (low maintenance, testable and performant) deployed in the cloud. Collaborate with the team to take advantage of new concepts/technologies . Continually learn and be relentlessly curious . Mentor and support software engineers by providing advice and coaching . Support rapid prototyping of solutions to validate requirements and performance. Support patent identification and creation. Lead a team of skilled developers (with leadership support). Collaborate with architects to recommend technologies and architectural design.

About You:

You will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Have 8+ years of experience developing commercial software. Have a genuine passion and interest in technology and software development with a thorough knowledge of the latest trends, best practices , and new technologies. Excellent experience in at least one major programming language. Preferably Java . Experience with Python , JavaScript/ and Scala is also beneficial. Excellent debugging and coding skills . Extensive experience with Cloud Computing concepts and technologies. Preferably public clouds such as GCP or AWS . Experience with GenAI or other AI/ML systems a major bonus but not essential. Experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases . E.g. MySQL, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB etc. Proven experience with rapid prototyping and Proof of Concepts using a wide variety of programming languages and frameworks. Have good analytical and problem-solving skills . Experience gathering and analyzing information for the development of effective solutions to problems or situations. Can solve complex problems quickly. Experience with many different programming languages and frameworks. And the experience to know when to use them. Experience with RESTful APIs , Microservices , Streaming, Spring Boot etc. Experience with Containerization . E.g. Docker, Kubernetes etc. Experience with Infrastructure as Code . E.g. Terraform. Frontend experience with React (or similar framework) is a bonus but not essential. Comfortable with contributing to discussions on tech stacks and architecture. Motivated and pro-active . Able to deal with uncertainty and ambiguous requirements. You have worked in a collaborative setting supporting team members where needed. You demonstrate humility and empathy .
