The role involves the scheduling and purchasing of raw materials and third party manufactured goods at Kerry’s Carrigaline facility. The candidate will work closely with the supply chain team, production, commercial partners and suppliers to ensure OTIF and inventory targets are met. Building and maintaining effective partnerships with suppliers is also a key component of this role.

Key responsibilities

Maintain and execute MRP in SAP to ensure the correct materials in place at the right time and in the right quantities. Maintain SAP master data relevant to the products and suppliers managed through this role. Create, release and maintain purchase orders on SAP with relevant approved suppliers. Identify any missing material (Shortages), expedite with logistics/suppliers and ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed. Monitor all open order status and resolve issues with Suppliers in order to meet requirements. This includes cancelling, pushing out and pulling in as required. Build and maintain supplier relationships and performance through consistent communication and key performance metrics. Issue regular forecasts to strategic TPM partners. Manage the transfer raw materials and finished goods to and from our co-manufacturing partners to ensure OTIF targets are met. Review and maintain safety stock level by regularly reviewing MOQs, EOQs and forecasts. Maintain good communication with internal and external logistics partners to support efficient management of warehousing capacity and transport. Manage the introduction of new materials and purchased in finished goods and run out of old products. Analyze inventory and propose opportunities for Vendor Managed Inventory, consignment stocking options etc. and work these through with the central procurement category leads Lead continuous improvement initiatives for materials and FG planning and cost reduction.

Qualifications and skills

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the end to end supply chain. You will be committed to excellent customer service, for both our internal and external customers. You will be a pro-active, flexible, and comfortable in a fast paced environment. We are looking for an excellent communicator with strong inter-personal skills who is open to embrace change.

Solid background in supply chain planning. MRP experience, ideally SAP. Capable of building and maintaining good working relationships with commercial stakeholders and suppliers. Site based manufacturing and supply chain experience. Ambitious and results driven. IT literate with good Excel skills. 3rd level qualification or relevant industry experience.
