About the role

DATA SCIENCE AT CHARLOTTE TILBURY The Data Science team have high ambitions. We’re leading the charge to leverage our data to create hyper-personalised experiences that our customers LOVE, and improve internal decision making in a way that keeps us running efficiently.

The Data Science team is currently small but rapidly growing; team members will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of business problems and gain exposure to a variety of modelling paradigms.

It is an exciting environment to be in, with ever-present possibilities for on-the-job development. The role covers the full stack of data science from scoping, through to building, deployment, communication and monitoring performance. There is a strong focus on personalisation and optimising our marketing. The right candidate will be front-and-centre in our efforts to realise our ambitions in these areas.

As a Data Scientist you will

· Run data science proofs-of-concepts to test feasibility and value, uncovering benefits for our customers and our business

· Source and process data, using domain-specific/agnostic techniques

· Use core skills in data analysis to answer ad-hoc questions to support business decision making

· Build production-ready machine learning models

· Implement models to realise value, and continually monitor performance to ensure long-term accuracy

· Manage stakeholders – work with teams across our business to balance the north-star ambition with what is immediately achievable

· Present and discuss insights to the wider business

Experience

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in data science or related roles

· A creative approach to problem-solving and data science solution scoping

· A good grasp of core mathematical and statistical concepts, machine learning algorithms and data science techniques

· Strong Python skills, with a good command of typical libraries for data science (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Keras etc.)

· Proficient in SQL

· Working with cloud environments & components (e.g., Google Cloud Platform)

· Managing code using version control

· Effective written and verbal communication and storytelling with data skills

· Collaborative mindset, and a passion for sharing ideas & knowledge
