As an Operations Controls Expert, you will have a transversal impact on Operations by monitoring expenses and certain controls related to IT security, as well as supporting the efficiency of operational activities through the optimization of existing operational controls and the identification of new controls required.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Perform global controls:

- Identify and resolve discrepancies to enable expense tracking by performing:

o Personnel reconciliation

o Purchase Order (PO) monitoring to ensure process compliance

- Act as Individual Delegation of Authority (IDA Administrator), and ensure that the process is followed

- Design and perform other global controls as required

- Update global control processes as required

- Update SCALA controls as required

Optimize operational controls:

- Evaluate the effectiveness (relevance/completeness/reliability/rapidity) of existing standard controls at Operations level

- Work with teams to optimize existing operational controls

- Work with Data teams (CLP and Operations) to improve control reporting

- Develop and standardize operational control management guides

- Carry out ad hoc evaluation and optimization of controls

- Support the administration of the Controls register

- Work with the Data Analytics team to use Power BI to optimize controls management (distribution, publication, attestation, etc.) by participating in testing and validation

- Participate in the review of SCALA controls

Collaborative activities:

- Work closely with the Operational Controls Manager to ensure compliance with the operational control framework

- Contribute to the monitoring and reporting of operational control performance and failure rates to support the continuous improvement of operational controls and processes

- Participate in the preparation and facilitation of control-related training and awareness programs

- Provide guidance and support to operational teams to ensure compliance with control procedures and standards


Your Profile

Profile required

Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, risk management, finance or related field Proven experience in operational controls, risk management in the insurance sector Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and mitigate operational risks Experience in the development, implementation or execution of operational controls Fluency in English (French is a plus). Proficiency in Excel Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mobilize teams. Ability to absorb and decipher/interpret data accurately Responsiveness, results orientation, attention to detail
