What is the opportunity?

As the Head of Learning & Development, you will play a key part in crafting and delivering our broader people colleague development proposition. Reporting to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, you will develop and retain the highly talented and diverse group of colleagues we need to deliver our ambition by ensuring they are continually championed through new and innovative learning and development strategies.

In this role, you will:
  • Proactively collaborate with Group partners to diagnose learning and organisational capability development needs and design, develop and deploy a portfolio of development strategies and initiatives to support the delivery of our People Strategy.
  • Demonstrate strong vendor management and project management skills, be highly organised and able to manage multiple projects, as well as forecasting and managing budgets effectively.
  • Understand the business priorities and develop appropriate metrics that evaluate and report on the impact of learning programmes.
  • Lead the Learning Team, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing, as well as learning and development coordination across partner groups.

You are a Learning and Development leader with significant experience at senior leadership level, with the ability to understand the needs of the business, crafting and delivering talent solutions to address those needs.

You have a proven capability to lead, develop and empower a team to deliver high impact business outcomes, capable of developing individual's careers, skills and behaviours whilst encouraging excellent team spirit.

You will have a developed external network, with the ability to monitor industry and market emerging trends and best practices.

You possess a highly coordinated and pragmatic approach, with an ability to create synergies and business opportunities across Organisational Effectiveness, People Services and the wider Group.

Essential Qualifications

There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role. However, a Third level qualification in HR/Business and CIPD Accreditation would be an advantage.
