To ensure we can provide exceptional service to all those who visit The CCD, we are currently seeking a Senior Production Manager to join our Technical team at The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) in a full-time permanent basis .

Key Objective

To manage and organise events, ensuring client expectations are met and costs are as per agreed budget and invoiced appropriately. Responsible for co-coordinating and up-selling of all other CCD Technical services. To manage assigned Technical Discipline. To deputise for the Head of Technical Production as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Head of Technical as required.
  • To act as the health and safety champion for the technical department. This includes review and updating of SOP’s, RAMS, safe systems of work etc, ensuring all technical staff, undergo relevant training and maintain training records.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and welfare of allocated staff by discipline and Technical staff in general, in conjunction with other Technical Departmental managers.
  • Responsible for developing allocated team’s technical and interpersonal skills, in conjunction with Head of Technical Production and People and Culture Department.
  • Responsible for identifying & implementing areas for improvement in the technical department and operational delivery of events.
  • To be the central liaison point between client, technical and other departments, while monitoring and maintaining the CCD’s high standard in the delivery of events.
  • Manage and monitor client satisfaction by identifying areas to add value to the client experience.
  • Accurately record and disseminate event information through EBMS to clients and other departments.
  • Participate in the planning, development and delivery of training for the technical production Managers and Technicians
  • Responsible for managing any additional staffing requirements for individual events, including allocation and rostering.
  • Responsible for ensuring effective use, timely maintenance and upkeep of allocated technical equipment by discipline.
  • Deliver events within package parameters and on budget.
  • Identify opportunities for selling additional services to maximise profit and co-ordinate opportunities across other departments.
  • Responsible for forecasting and reporting of revenue for allocated events.
  • Responsible for managing maintenance and acquisition costs of assigned technical discipline.
  • Responsible for managing technical costs of allocated events.
  • Financial responsibility for agreeing internal and third party costs and for ensuring invoices are issued and any queries are resolved in line with The CCD procedures.
  • To proactively support and produce internal events when necessary.
  • To undertake all training as identified by CCD.
  • To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by manager.

Duties and responsibilities will vary from time to time and the post holder will be expected to perform other such duties that are reasonably comparable; adhere to Company health, safety and environmental policies; maintain a safe working environment and ensure your work activities are safe.
