About the role

Due to our continued growth and ambitious plans for 2024 and beyond, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercially focussed HR Professional to join us as HR Consultant & Client Services Management. In this new position in addition to working as a HR Consultant, you will have a focus on Client Management, ideally bring experience from a professional services organisation or similar. You will have an opportunity to work with some amazing companies and contribute to their organisational development and growth plans.

This role will prioritise a deep understanding of our clients’ needs and help us to develop and deliver excellent client services across our suite of offerings, establishing best in class methodologies and relationship management standards. You will have scope to implement your business and innovation acumen and to personally contribute to the further expansion of this thriving consultancy.

What you will do

Contribute to the strategy and development of the Voltedge Management business, managing multiple clients & projects and actively delivering consulting services.

  • As a senior member of the management team, you will work closely with colleagues to implement the strategic priorities into operational goals.

  • You will operate as a programme manager, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standards. This will entail reviewing current project delivery methodologies and identifying greater efficiencies and improved practices for all the team, to ensure projects are well managed at each stage of delivery.

  • You will collaborate with the Business Development and Marketing function, closely working on new commercial opportunities, including developing proposals and contributing to tenders.

  • You will be the master of stakeholder management, ensuring all of our practices and processes support the principles of excellence and best in class delivery to our valued clients.

  • While you will have responsibility for delivering services a portfolio of clients as a HR Consultant, you will colloborate with colleagues and associates and mentor members of the team as they develop their expertise.

About you and what you will bring.

Your background and knowledge of working in professional services and/or a consulting practice will position you well to contribute at a senior level. You will be an experienced professional who is a motivator and role model – being a strong advocate for project management and client success.

  • Your experience of engaging at Board and Senior Leadership level, will be a huge advantage in the stakeholder management aspect of this role. The position will offer you the opportunity to work at the highest levels, with clients and potential clients, developing proposals and programme plans to meet client needs and further development the business.

  • Your will have a strong commercial understanding of a consultancy business, developing client solutions, and a real understanding of consultancy operations.

  • You will be exceptional at client relationship management and engagement capabilities, paying close attention to the needs of the client while delivering agreed outcomes.

  • As a programme manager, you will be skilled at handling multiple projects, developing project plans, managing stakeholder relationships, monitoring the quality and delivery of the various milestones, and ensuring projects close out, are on time and within budget. Your focus will be to achieve outstanding results from your clients’ feedback.

  • Your qualifications will be to Degree or Masters’ level in HRM, or a business equivalent. You will have CIPD membership with considerable experience as a senior HR professional in either a large corporate environment, or as part of a consultancy team.

  • You will also have strong generalist knowledge of Employment Law and HR best practices, with a practical understanding and knowledge of the future of work.

  • You will have strong project management competencies, with a proven track record of delivery and managing complex projects to multiple stakeholders.

  • An effective communicator with drive and personal ambition, you will bring energy, creative thinking and be a solution focused individual, with excellent attention to detail.
