Job Title: Mechanical Estimator

Are you an experienced estimator looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team based in Dublin 12. As a member of our senior management team, you will play a key role in the tendering process and be responsible for compiling estimates and proposals.

Main Responsibilities:
• Manage the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion
• Compile precise and well-organised estimates and proposals promptly
• Ensure tenders are submitted and processed on time, follow up on tenders and documents, and record any feedback
• Issue tender queries and prepare tender reports
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors
• Oversee the maintenance of the cost database
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc)
• Keep informed with developments in the industry
• Participate in the development of procedures to ensure a high standard of quality control in the documents produced by the Estimating Department
• Manage & mentor members of the Estimating Team

Requirements:
• 4+ years' experience working as an estimator with a mechanical contractor
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and in at least one of the more widely used Estimating Platforms
• Attention to detail and high-quality standards are required
• Ability to identify potential risks on a project
• Be a motivated and highly dependable individual
• Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
• Full drivers' licence is advantageous
