The project: The role is within the chief infrastructure office of a semi-state organisation in Ireland. The role holder will prepare and issue strategic level connection contract offers to new and existing customers connecting directly to the transmission system and to the distribution system operator for those connecting indirectly to the transmission system via the distribution system. The role holder will also oversee the preparation and issuance of transmission use of system offers for customers using the transmission system and co-ordinate the contract management of all connection and transmission use of system contracts to ensure compliance and that all parties meet their contractual obligations.

Key to success in this role is collaboration, working with industry and teams across client to drive out appropriate solutions to a range of complex technical and commercial issues. Building and maintaining strong professional relationships both externally and internally, as well as having the people skills to influence others and to find workable solutions, is key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and advocate for Mace's value of safety first, ensuring exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards.
  • Manage the delivery of key assignments and provide strategic direction.
  • Prepare contract documents, warranties, bonds and licenses for formal execution.
  • Process connection applications and prepare connection offers to parties seeking to connect to the transmission system.
  • Provide a professional, quality and consistent contract service to customers.
  • Monitor contractual compliance to ensure obligations are met.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of contact with customers on contract-related issues.
  • Coordinate and host meetings between customers and client.
  • Support the team leads in identifying and managing risks.
  • Train and support other team members as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification, typically with 4+ years relevant experience.
  • Broad understanding of the technical and commercial aspects of the power industry.
  • Strong customer and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven commercial awareness with strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence others.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented.
