The Hodson Bay Hotel is excited to welcome applications for a Breakfast Assistant to join our friendly Food and Beverage team in our Restaurant. The successful candidate will assist in the smooth running of Breakfast/Lunch service in the Restaurant.

We are interested in candidates who have availability to work morning shifts between Monday and Friday. The typical starting times for this role are between 6am to 8am and finishing times between 12pm and 3:30pm, depending on the candidate's availability and business needs.

Main Duties:

  • Carry out all Food & Beverage assistant duties as per the agreed standards.
  • Assist and carry out duties for the Restaurant.
  • Participate in training as required by Breakfast Supervisor or Breakfast Manager.
  • Be responsible for the service of the Restaurant where directed.
  • Ensure the highest levels of Customer Care are practiced at all times.
  • Carry out the Hotel's customer relations policy.
  • Communicate Hotel services to guests.
  • Ensure cash/vouchers and all forms of payment are handled in a secure and responsible manner in the Restaurant.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Wear relevant uniform and name badge at all times.
  • Ensure that reasonable care is taken for the Health & Safety of yourself, other employees, guests, and any other persons on the Hotel premises.
  • Any other duties as directed by management.
A little bit about you:
  • 1 year of Food & Beverage/Customer Service experience is desired.
  • Available to work mid-week morning shifts.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and anticipate customer needs.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
