The Opportunity:

As a HR Generalist in Activ8, you will be a key member of the People Team. You will play a pivotal role in supporting employees and managers in providing expert guidance and assistance across a wide range of HR functions.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Organise and promote well-being programmes, mental health resources, and engagement activities to support a healthy and motivated workforce.
  2. Updating and maintaining employee data in an accurate and timely manner.
  3. Produce regular and ad hoc reports, including absence management monitoring, probation tracking, and ongoing systems reconciliations.
  4. Seek to develop the use of HR systems to improve administrative processes and efficiency. An initial project will involve the setup of a new HRIS.
  5. Management and administration of statutory leave benefits, company health insurance, pension schemes, tax-efficient benefit schemes, and professional memberships.
  6. Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries from employees and management in a positive and professional manner.
  7. Provide support on employee relations, including advising on policies, disciplinary processes, and grievance procedures.
  8. Assist in performance management, including probation reviews, goal setting, and feedback processes.
  9. Support training and development initiatives, helping to identify employee learning needs and coordinate training programs.
  10. Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment law, assisting in policy implementation and updates.
  11. Participate in various HR projects to drive continuous improvement and enhance the employee experience.

Qualifications/Key Skills:

  1. 3-5 years of experience in HR, with employee relations (ER) experience desirable.
  2. A HR qualification or CIPD certification is required.
  3. Previous experience in a HR generalist role is essential, along with experience using HR systems.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  5. Strong focus on confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
  6. Highly thorough and detail-oriented.
  7. A self-motivated individual who can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  8. Experience supporting senior stakeholders in a complex corporate environment.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
