HR Generalist

Full Time- Perm Position

Role Overview:
To ensure the efficient operation of the HR function by delivering value to employees and clients, fostering corporate values, and promoting a positive work culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and coordinate the HR function, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  2. Provide coaching and support to management and supervisors on HR matters.
  3. Collaborate with HR consultants on policy updates and compliance.
  4. Manage recruitment processes, including advertising, interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding.
  5. Maintain and update employment contracts, handbooks, job descriptions, and HR records.
  6. Address employee issues such as grievances, absences, and disputes in line with best practices.
  7. Monitor legal compliance, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the company at hearings.
  8. Develop and implement absence management policies and maintain time and attendance records.
  9. Organize training, certifications, and induction programs; maintain training matrices.
  10. Manage IT requirements for employees and act as a point of contact for IT concerns.
  11. Regularly meet with management to provide HR updates and assist with succession planning.
  12. Stay updated on employment law changes and support audits related to payroll and HR.

Additional Duties:

  1. Maintain NSAI ISO accreditation compliance.
  2. Act as Data Protection Officer, ensuring GDPR compliance.
  3. Manage company social media platforms and improve HR IT systems.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

  1. At least 3 years of HR experience and a relevant third-level HR qualification.
  2. Strong analytical, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  3. Proficient in HR software (e.g., Sage HR) and MS Office.
  4. Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and excellent communication skills.
  5. Marketing experience is an advantage.
  6. Team player with the ability to work independently, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
