About you: An exciting opportunity exists for a Software Engineering Team Lead to lead a highly engaged agile software team. In this dual-role position, you will play a pivotal role in building a high-performance engineering team while actively contributing as a full-stack web developer. Your focus will be on developing and managing robust software solutions using .NET Core, Svelte, and MSSQL, ensuring the delivery of exceptional value to our customers.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities:- Leading a team to develop software that consistently exceeds expectations in terms of features, security, reliability, performance and quality.
- Overseeing team members’ performance and goals.
- Leading by example, striking a balance of management and development responsibilities.
- A commitment to optimizing the agile development processes.
- Collaborating with other teams and stakeholders within a scaled agile framework.
- Making valuable contributions to design & architecture for upcoming projects.
- Nurturing engineers’ careers and capabilities by providing insightful coaching and mentorship.
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs using .NET Core/framework and Svelte/Angular.
- Build and deploy applications on AWS services, including EC2, ECS, RDS, S3, lambda functions, AWS secrets.
- Optimize cloud-based applications for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve application and performance issues promptly.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure proper documentation of development processes and system architecture.
- Adhere to and promote industry best practices in coding, security, and application management.
- Complete assigned development tasks within the sprint and quarterly timelines while adhering to acceptance criteria.
- Achieve a 95% or higher code quality, ensure APIs and applications meet established performance benchmarks.
- Actively improve agile and development team processes.
- Ensure team members are equipped with the right technical and security training.
- Manage and resolve team performance issues.
- Collaboration with key stakeholders and product and engineering leads.
- Propose and implement new coding or operational best practices and conduct or contribute to the knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Team management and technical leadership experience.
- Strong experience in full-stack development using .NET Core/framework, C#, and web API development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure services.
- Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns and performance optimization strategies.
- Knowledge of software architectures, design patterns and design principles.
- Proficiency with Git version control and Agile development practices.
- Understanding of MS SQL Server, including query optimization and database design.
- Good troubleshooting skills, particularly with application performance and operational issues.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing solutions effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive attitude toward learning and adopting new technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development and cloud-based solutions, 1+ year team lead experience.
