The Company is looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated Risk Analyst (12 month fixed term contract position). This role includes the following activities:

Risk Analysis/Monitoring

  • Analysis of investment/operations processes and identification of underlying risks and potential operational issues.
  • Investigate causes of operational risk events and liaise with business units for risk mitigations and remediation actions.
  • Monitor the implementation of follow-up actions and the operational resilience of business processes.

Risk Reporting

  • Report operational issues and operational risk events in the operational risk register.
  • Update reported items in the operational risk register until case is resolved.
  • Escalation of material issues to senior management and the Chief Risk Officer.
  • Prepare for recurring reporting to the Risk Management committee and the Board of Directors.

Risk Governance

  • Attendance at Risk Management committee and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Participate in delegate review meetings.
  • Support development and enhancement of processes within risk function in alignment with internal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

  • Economics or finance related degree or similar qualification.
  • Challenging mindset with a desire to understand the impact of operational risk exposures.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a finance industry role.
  • Experience in alternative investments or funds industry an advantage.
  • Highly organized and able to work autonomously.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen interest in the broader investment environment.
