As a Front End Engineer at Amazon Simple Email Service (SES), you will be at the forefront of creating richer, more engaging email customer experience for a vast array of people and applications.

Your expertise will be pivotal in driving the design and architecture of user-centric solutions, contributing to our mission to revolutionize email experiences for our customers and their end users.

You will bring a blend of deep technical skills and leadership abilities to influence long-term strategic decisions.

Your responsibilities will include translating complex requirements into well-architected, visually appealing solutions in collaboration with Product Managers, UX Designers, and customers.

In addition to shaping the system's overall architecture, scalability, and reliability, you'll play a key role in mentoring other engineers and defining the technical direction of our rapidly growing team.

On-Call Responsibility:
This position involves on-call responsibilities.

We don't like being paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault-tolerant.

When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we aren't paged for the same issue twice.

Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps)


AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services.

The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Biometric Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.
