We are currently seeking a Senior Qualified Actuary to join an industry leading Insurer in a Senior Management Position. The successful candidate for the Chief Risk Officer position will report to the CEO and will ideally have 10 years' experience working in a risk capacity. This position is based in Dublin and has hybrid working options.

About the Chief Risk Officer role

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Ensure effective risk management framework is in place at all times. Lead production and maintenance of annual ORSA and any ad hoc ORSA's as required. Implement Data Protection legislation and the Treating Customers Fairly and Conduct Risk Strategies within the business. Ensure new portfolios are appropriately integrated into Risk Management Framework. Ability Liaise with both internal committee members and external clients and Auditors. Responsible for the facilitation of the setting of the risk appetite by the Board.

Actuarial skills required

This position would suit a Senior Actuary with +10 years' experience (preferably risk) and a professional qualification in insurance/risk/actuarial/finance. Additional skills required include:

Experience in both insurance and reinsurance would be preferrable. In detail knowledge of Solvency II, Capital Management and Governance and risk management theory. Management experience and Board Presentation experience. Precise attention to detail, clear and concise written work including reports. Self-motivated with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. Good Administration skills. Application of internal control principles and risk management.
