Chief Risk Officer - Dublin, Ireland - Raretec Recruitment

We are currently seeking a Senior Qualified Actuary to join an industry leading Insurer in a Senior Management Position. The successful candidate for the Chief Risk Officer position will report to the CEO and will ideally have 10 years' experience working in a risk capacity. This position is based in Dublin and has hybrid working options.

About the Chief Risk Officer role

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Ensure effective risk management framework is in place at all times.
• Lead production and maintenance of annual ORSA and any ad hoc ORSA's as required.
• Implement Data Protection legislation and the Treating Customers Fairly and Conduct Risk Strategies within the business.
• Ensure new portfolios are appropriately integrated into Risk Management Framework.
• Ability Liaise with both internal committee members and external clients and Auditors.
• Responsible for the facilitation of the setting of the risk appetite by the Board.

This position would suit a Senior Actuary with +10 years' experience (preferably risk) and a professional qualification in insurance/risk/actuarial/finance. Additional skills required include:

• Experience in both insurance and reinsurance would be preferrable.
• In detail knowledge of Solvency II, Capital Management and Governance and risk management theory.
• Management experience and Board Presentation experience.
• Precise attention to detail, clear and concise written work including reports.
• Self-motivated with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Application of internal control principles and risk management.
