The Meeting & Events Sales Executive plays a key role collaborating with the sales & reservations team.

Welcome to The Plaza Hotel Dublin, featuring 122 ensuite bedrooms, cutting-edge conference facilities, and outstanding cuisine.

Recently renovated and completely upgraded, The Plaza Hotel boasts a completely revamped interior, now offering exciting new dining options. The hotel presents 122 spacious, cozy, ensuite rooms as well as several large suites. With two well-lit event spaces and four meeting suites, we cater to conferences and events of all sizes, accommodating anywhere from 5 to 200 attendees.

Role/Responsibilities

Reports to: General Manager / Revenue Manager / Sales & Marketing Manager / Reservations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Generation:
    • Proactively seek out and generate leads for meeting spaces and event venues.
    • Create and execute sales strategies to reach revenue goals.
    • Deliver sales presentations to potential clients, highlighting the venue's amenities and services.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients for securing bookings.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Establish and nurture strong relationships with current clients.
    • Comprehend clients' requirements and preferences to customize event proposals accordingly.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction pre, during, and post events.
    • Act as the main contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Event Coordination:
    • Collaborate with internal teams such as culinary, operations, and housekeeping to guarantee smooth event execution.
    • Manage event logistics, including room setup, audiovisual equipment, and catering services.
    • Supervise event setup and teardown, ensuring all client needs are met.
  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands.
    • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and business growth opportunities.
    • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to assess sales strategy effectiveness and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Administrative Tasks:
    • Prepare and maintain sales contracts, proposals, and relevant documentation.
    • Keep detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts.
    • Generate reports on sales performance and present findings to management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel environment.
