This role is a hybrid, requiring 2 days in the office.About the Finance Department: Based in the recently established Dublin office in the EMEA region, the EMEA Finance Department supports all aspects of Dolby's business within the region. The team handles various functions such as FP&A, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Collections, and Payroll. This role involves collaborating with the finance team to contribute to the organization's culture and success. Reporting to the Sr. Accounting Manager EMEA.About the Role:In the position of EMEA General Ledger Accountant, you will manage accounting tasks and ensure statutory compliance across multiple territories/legal entities. Key responsibilities include financial reporting, journal entry preparation, month-end activities, process improvement projects, audit support, VAT reconciliation, and more.Key Functions of this Role:
  • Responsible for financial reporting of 2 legal entities within Dolby EMEA
  • Prepare and post journal entries, monitor accounting postings
  • Perform month-end close activities, review balances
  • Participate in projects to enhance accounting function
  • Collaborate with Accounting Managers, execute tasks
  • Engage with auditors, prepare financial statements
  • Handle VAT reconciliation and journal entries
Additional Tasks:
  • Manage Fixed Assets control process
  • Assist with SOX documentation preparations
About You:
  • Accountancy qualification
  • Minimum 3 years PQE in European Statutory accounting
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, IFRS, EMEA statutory requirements
  • Strong communication skills, team player, customer-oriented
  • Extensive ERP systems knowledge, especially SAP
  • Self-starter, strong work ethic
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage workload effectively
  • Excellent Excel and MS Word skills
