Job Summary:

The Rent Coordinator will oversee tenants' rent accounts, explain rent payment policies and procedures during pre-tenancies, enhance rent collection rates, and manage arrears effectively.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Collaborate with the credit control team to boost rent collection and manage arrears, utilizing various communication channels such as phone, letters, emails, and in-person visits
  • Present rent payment policies and procedures during pre-tenancies and RTB adjudications
  • Establish and nurture customer relationships with tenants in arrears, joining Housing Officers on visits to tenants with significant arrears to discuss payment solutions
  • Monitor and address webchats, handle inquiries, and promptly alert Housing Officers about any pressing issues
  • Review tenants' rent based on relevant policies and income particulars
  • Generate monthly, ad-hoc, and year-end reports on Tenant Arrears Analysis
  • Assist with the Confidential Income Statement (CIS) processes annually
  • Update and maintain the tenant information database promptly upon receiving notifications via correspondence
  • Manage the unclaimed report database and collaborate with the bank to resolve any issues
  • Coordinate with Local Authorities and Revenue for remittances and liaise with An Post regarding household budget payments

Requirements:

  • Candidates should possess a Certificate/Diploma and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Hold a valid driving license and have access to a personal vehicle

Have at least one year of experience in a similar role

  • Excellent administrative skills and the ability to create Pivot Tables, spreadsheets, presentations, and memos

Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills

Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently

Good organizational and time management abilities

  • Capability to handle confidential information with sensitivity

Dedication to customer-centric and solution-oriented work approaches

Willingness to participate in forums/working groups/committees as necessary

Perform any other reasonable duties as requested
