We're looking for a Finance Assistant to join our Finance Billing Team
Reporting to the Banking Team Lead, the Finance Assistant will collaborate with the Finance Department's Banking team to ensure daily banking activities and reconciliation are accurately completed within set deadlines.

This is a great opportunity to enhance your skills and experience within the AXA Ireland Finance team.

We follow a smart working hybrid model, requiring a minimum of 40% of your week to be spent away from home.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Assisting the branch network with receipting, closedown, and lodgements
  • Resolving lodgement discrepancies and escalating when necessary
  • Keeping track of cheque processing and ensuring accurate adjustments
  • Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and clearing discrepancies promptly
  • Posting journal information accurately and timely
  • Reconciling bank accounts to the general ledger and making adjusting entries promptly
  • Maintaining evidence for reconciliations and controls
  • Collaborating with third parties for efficient job processing
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and internal/external audits
  • Assisting other finance teams when needed
Your Profile
  • 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Qualified in or pursuing a relevant business qualification Diploma/IATI
  • Good numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of general accounting concepts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Utilizes IT systems to enhance work quality
  • Opportunity for staff rotation across relevant Finance functions
