An AWS Technical Account Manager acts as a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for Enterprise Support customers, playing a crucial role in maximizing the value derived from cloud technology. By designing and implementing strategies to boost customer adoption and utilization of AWS services, you'll provide strategic technical guidance, advocate best practices, and ensure the operational health of customers' AWS environments. Your close relationships with customers will enable you to grasp their business needs and technical hurdles, assisting them in extracting the utmost value from AWS.

Technical Account Managers collaborate with a variety of businesses, ranging from startups to large enterprises undergoing significant transformations. Your role involves advising on architecture, support strategies, project planning, launch execution, and addressing ongoing operational challenges.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Building solutions, offering technical guidance, and advocating for customers
  • Ensuring operational health of AWS environments while minimizing costs and complexity
  • Developing trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business requirements and technical obstacles
  • Engaging in technical discussions on incidents, trade-offs, and risk management using your technical expertise and customer-centric approach
  • Consulting a broad spectrum of partners from developers to C-suite executives
  • Collaborating with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS, demonstrating a bias for action
  • Tackling diverse challenges across various customers during their cloud migration journey
  • Enhancing customer capabilities through workshops and enablement sessions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with operational parameters and troubleshooting in compute/storage/networking/CDN/databases/DevOps/big data and analytics/security/applications development within a distributed systems environment
  • Technical engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AWS services or other cloud platforms
  • Technical leadership experience in internal enterprise or external customer-facing environments
