Risk & Compliance Department Overview
The Risk & Compliance department, comprising nearly 50 skilled professionals in Risk, BCM, and Compliance spread across different geographies, plays a vital role in safeguarding the company's assets and reputation. The team's core functions involve identifying and evaluating risks, implementing mitigation strategies, raising awareness among staff and business units, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Your Role as Compliance Officer
As a Compliance Officer reporting to the Head of Compliance at Euronext Dublin, you will contribute significantly to the compliance functions within the Euronext Group. The role may be based in Dublin or Paris.
Compliance Responsibilities
- Participate in Euronext's group-wide efforts to foster and enhance a culture of compliance
- Review and monitor core Compliance policies from a group perspective while ensuring local applicability
- Support groupwide risk analysis on compliance and Client/Product risk, including local variations
- Create awareness of policies and practices at both the Group and local levels
- Engage in Group initiatives and projects as needed
- Assist in developing and executing the local compliance monitoring program aligned with the Group's risk-based approach and regulatory requirements
- Conduct monitoring controls following the risk-based approach and report findings to Group and Local management
- Build strong internal relationships with business units
- Support the local MLRO

As part of the compliance functions, the role will have constant access to relevant information, databases, information systems, and internal and external audit reports.
Competency and Personal Requirements
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years' compliance experience in the financial sector
- Familiarity with MiFID requirements and Central Bank of Ireland guidance
- Strong communication skills for interacting across different organizational levels, ensuring compliance and understanding legal requirements
- Ability to translate compliance needs into business contexts
- Openness to change and adaptability
- Exposure to international markets
- Proven track record in projects demanding attention to detail and analytical abilities
- Proficient in written and verbal English communication
- Energetic team player with excellent multitasking skills
Desirable:
- Compliance qualifications
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in business, administration, economics, engineering, or related fields
- International experience, particularly in a matrix organization structure
- Exposure to compliance and legal requirements in financial infrastructure domains like regulated markets, market operators, and CSD
- Familiarity with regulations such as data privacy/GDPR, Information security, Business Continuity Planning, Outsourcing, and Market Surveillance
