itContracting is looking for a Technical Delivery Manager specializing in Network Security to become part of their client's team.



Location: Dublin or Cork - Hybrid.

Job Type: Day rate contract.

Our client in the financial sector is going through a significant digital transformation journey. This will result in an improved customer experience, involving the redesign of delivery channels and ongoing enhancements to the infrastructure and operations to offer cost-effective, secure, and robust services to our customers. To facilitate this transformation, a substantial and thrilling opportunity has emerged for a Technical Delivery Manager specializing in Network Security. This project-based position is being opened up to meet the growing requirements for designing and implementing secure Network infrastructure and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project management within network security technologies and a history of working in a Technical Delivery Manager capacity before. This is an interdisciplinary role that demands the individual to seamlessly collaborate across departments to achieve the desired results.

Your Team:
  • The Technical Delivery Manager will oversee the execution of secure and robust network projects for our client. Being part of the Network and Security Design team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and advancing the delivery of network security solutions to enhance our client's compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • Essential:
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in delivering resilient network and network security solutions.
  • Strong grasp of Network Segmentation, Micro-segmentation, Zero-trust, and managing projects related to them.
  • Act as a catalyst for strategic change with main project/program stakeholders.
  • Utilize expertise to deliver top-notch service to key stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Thorough understanding of the regulatory landscape and the IT and cybersecurity demands linked to it.
  • Extensive experience in deploying enterprise-class solutions in major transformation projects supporting critical business applications.
  • Ability to initiate and deliver results across various competing priorities.
  • Efficient collaboration with a skilled team.
  • Identification of critical risks and ensuring effective implementation of mitigation strategies.

Desired:

  • Strong comprehension of Identity Access Management projects and their integration with network segmentation along with the challenges in delivering these projects.
  • Familiarity with the delivery of secure and scalable cloud connectivity projects.
  • Understanding of Firewalls, Web Access Firewall, load balancers, and secure web gateway projects.
  • Knowledge of private cloud and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure design.

Your Responsibilities: Technical Project Delivery
  • Develop a deep understanding of the Technical Project Delivery process within BSIM Change Management in Enterprise IT Services.
  • Comprehend Change Governance Structure and ensure compliance with the processes.
  • Create project workstream planning documentation, milestones, task assignments, and runbooks for change windows.
  • Provide oversight for all change initiatives within the workstream through consistent methodologies.
  • Distribute weekly project RAG status updates to the program team.
  • Deliver secure and robust solution designs that meet business needs and support strategic goals.
  • Propose alternatives and solutions for technical and business challenges based on expertise.
  • Implement relevant Internal Control Frameworks to facilitate workstream delivery.
  • Manage day-to-day team aspects, including resource management.
  • Simplify the managed environment to reduce complexity while maintaining cutting-edge solutions and configurations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with pertinent third parties supporting this function.

Risk Management & Control

  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the risk landscape across the relevant processes.
  • Maintain the control environment in scope, ensuring alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Update RAID logs regularly for the workstream and maintain the Risk Register.
  • Take proactive steps to minimize audit findings by implementing effective and long-lasting solutions within the workstream.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Develop and sustain productive relationships across Group Technology and 2nd Line and 3rd Line teams.
  • Effectively manage internal and external stakeholders and proactively handle their expectations.
  • Collaborate and influence key stakeholders.
  • Promote a strong team spirit and contribute to broader team goals.
