Programme Management

· Drive a programme and community impact strategy for strengthening service delivery excellence and regularly review the structure and composition in order to achieve it.

· Maintain positive and constructive relationships with key stakeholders / customers.

· Ensure useful learning from our work is collected and disseminated to improve the quality and relevance of both current and future work.

· Coordinate support and training that is responsive to both developments within the sector and customer feedback.

· Maintain and grow a coordinated relationship management approach that results in customer feedback mechanisms from a diverse group of customers and foster collaboration with customers to increase networking and collaboration.

· Work with the Communications team to develop and deliver key messages about programme and community impact that reflect strategy.

· Ensure that internal and external reporting is carried out in a timely manner, to a high standard and in line with agreed objectives and targets.

· Manage collection of community data and information (storytelling, case studies etc), as well as best practice, to ensure community engagement and partnerships are appropriately aligned, comprehensive, and efficient.

· Coordinate programme teams to help them envision and embed creative methods for achieving effective community impact into the design of programme.

· Monitor programmes' progress against contracts, organisational goals and objectives, and ensure they are consistently and adequately met.

· Drive new business development efforts and contribute to organisational development strategies and operational solutioning to deliver outstanding services.

· Analyse data in relation to readiness for change of key stakeholders and provide appropriate support necessary to implement changes, such as training, communications, and consultation.

· Deliver on agreed KPIs and performance metrics are defined, captured, understood, monitored and achieved.

Service Development

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement for the teams ensuring that the service model applied is adaptable and meets changing requirements and contexts.
  • Deliver technical, financial, operational direction and oversee programme implementation to ensure on-time delivery of the contract scope of work and seek opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Regularly review feedback at all levels learning from compliments, complaints and appeals with a view to improvement in support of the Service Delivery Improvement Unit
  • Work with other Coordinators and teams to develop and agree service offers and levels of delivery to ensure end to end programme design & implementation.

People Management

  • Manage assigned staff, ensuring they are equipped with a clear understanding of requirements and expectations; are developed, supported, performance managed and valued as employees and as representatives.
  • Lead with an agile mind-set, focused on problem solving through creative solutions, and thrive in a fast paced, high growth environment.
  • Ensure good individual and team management structures are in place to support performance/staff management and development (1-2-1's, PEP's, Talentevo, Blended Working Policy, Flexi time and all other relevant HR policies)
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to all standards and procedures.
  • Delegate work and ensure effective relationships in a team-working context.
  • Work in collaboration with unit manager to ensure the correct team resources are in the right place, at the right time.

Stakeholder Management

  • Establish effective relationships around engagement model and ensure the necessary structures and agreement are in place with relevant business units and directorates as appropriate, and their managers.
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with external stakeholder, Departments and with key organisations to ensure coordination of supports to services.

Required Experience

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3-4 years of professional work experience, preferably with strong understanding and experience of local/community development and the social economy.
  • Understanding and experience of social inclusion and employment/enterprise.
  • Proficient in MS packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint portals.
