The role of the Senior Training Specialist entails managing, coordinating, and enhancing our training and development program. We are seeking a skilled professional to improve our training system capabilities and collaborate with the plant team to enhance skills and ensure compliance throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Training function at the Dun Laoghaire Plant to ensure effective, consistent, and recorded training that aligns with regulations and company standards.
  • Develop the Learning Management System to optimize training recording, assigning, and tracking for compliance.
  • Coordinate training needs for the introduction of new equipment in collaboration with operations and the development team.
  • Conduct training needs analyses and implement relevant training programs, working closely with people managers to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Implement standardized methods for training delivery, recording, and reporting across the site.
  • Identify and implement improvements in training processes and systems to maintain a top-tier training approach.
  • Manage site training grant applications and support continuous improvement initiatives through events and employee engagement.
  • Coordinate trainer work schedules with Shift Managers to achieve operational training goals.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop training materials for new processes.
  • Support special projects such as department-wide trainings and events.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Educational & Experience:

  • Third Level Qualification in HR/Quality/Production Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a training role focusing on process improvement.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and the Training Specialist.
  • Proficiency in PC skills including MS Office, Photoshop, Learning Management Systems & SAP.
  • Experience with E-learning software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, training, and presentation abilities.
