Job Title: Manager, Client Reporting

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to support our Reporting function within the Administration division. This individual will play a crucial role in managing various client accounts, contributing to the overall success of the business. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Reporting Line:

This position reports directly to the VP, Head of Client Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Month-End Management Accounts:
  • Ensure accurate and timely management reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist clients with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Tax Compliance: Review and file VAT returns, Corporation Tax and other regulatory filings
  • Statutory Accounts Preparation: Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts
  • Audit Support: Address audit queries and provide necessary documentation.
  • Payroll Review: Oversee and review payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and secure approvals.
  • Meeting Attendance: Participate in Client Board and Management meetings to provide insights and updates.
  • Project Delivery: Lead and manage ad-hoc client projects.
  • Team Oversight: Supervise and review work prepared by Assistant Managers.
  • Offshore Collaboration: Coordinate with the offshore team to ensure efficient client delivery
  • Recruitment: Interview and evaluate junior candidates for team positions.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Technical Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes.
  • Process Improvements: Drive efficiency and effectiveness in reporting processes.
  • Executive Support: Provide support to the VP, Head of Client Reporting, as needed.

IT Systems Requirements:

Proficiency with accounting systems such as Sage, Xero, or other integrated systems with robust reporting capabilities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualifications: ACA/CPA/ACCA newly qualified or 1 years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Experience in an accountancy practice environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Client Focus: Strong focus on meeting both internal and external client needs. Composure: Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Commitment: Demonstrates a sense of urgency and reliability in delivering on commitments.
