Supervisor/Room Leader

Naionra an Chaisleain is currently hiring for the position of Room Leader/Supervisor:

  • Start Date: End of August
  • Hours: 8:30 am – 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time)
  • Salary: Ero rates
  • Closing Date for Applications: June 14th

Naionra an Chaisleain is situated in Castlegregory village and offers preschool services for children aged 2 years 8 months to 5 years. Our service operates Monday to Friday from 9:15 am to 12:15 pm for 38 weeks per year. The preschool aims to create a nurturing environment where children can learn and have fun.

Successful candidates must have relevant childcare experience, knowledge, and at least a Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Education. A good grasp of the Irish language is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Sound understanding of child protection principles and obligations under Children First

  • Proficiency in assessing and planning children's learning using Aistear & Síolta practices
  • Aptitude for documenting children's learning and development
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Enthusiastic and lively personality
  • Naturally warm and respectful towards children and their needs
