What is the opportunity?

The role offers the opportunity to work in an exciting and growing area within Bank of Ireland and the wider financial service sector. Operational Resilience is defined as the ability of a firm, and the financial services sector as a whole, to identify and prepare for, respond and adapt to, recover and learn from an operational disruption.

As a part of the Bank of Ireland Group Resilience and Continuity (GR&C) team the Crisis and Resilience Manager will support a number of key deliverables which aims to enhance the banks overall Operational Resilience.

The role also offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and experience of crisis management by supporting senior leaders across the bank during challenging disruption events.

In this Role, you will Max
  • Support the end-to-end management for crisis management at Group level.
  • Support large customer facing divisions with enhancing incident management capability.
  • Support the development and delivery of the Groups crisis management training and awareness.
  • Support the bank in planning for, responding and adapting to, an extensive suite of major incidents and crises that could adversely impact the organisation.
  • Ensuring executive leadership are kept appraised of emerging threats and crisis response.
  • Supporting their manager in real events ensuring that the Crisis Management framework plans are followed.
  • Ensure all tools and documentation associated with the Groups Gold and Silver Plans are effectively maintained.
  • Supporting new critical incident and crisis management initiatives and continuous improvement developments as appropriate.
  • Co-ordinate lessons learned exercises from an Operational Resilience perspective.

Essential Qualifications
  • Applicants must hold a relevant 3rd level degree or have experience within Crisis Management or a related role.

Our Group Resilience and Continuity (GR&C) team form part of the Payments and Business Continuity Management business function within the Group Technology and Customer Solutions division.

We are the first line Centre of Excellence who with the support of the wider business in continually improving the Operational Resilience capability of the Bank of Ireland Group.

We are responsible for developing and setting a comprehensive vision and approach for Operational Resilience, which are then delivered through comprehensive frameworks, policies, methodologies, management tools and the provision of sound advice.

This is a hybrid onsite role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as ITC, Cabinteely, Dublin 18. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager. #LI-HYBRID #IJ-HYBRID
