The Application Engineer contributes to Cpl by providing technical support in developing solutions; preparing and delivering product presentations / demonstrations; evaluating customer readiness and conducting training, as well as identifying and resolving application or environmental issues. Working as part of the IT team, this position plays a vital role in interfacing with Cpl's customer base and internal staff by providing expert level technical support of our various IT systems.

Working as part of the IT team within Ireland's leading recruitment company, this position plays a vital role in interfacing with Cpl's customer base and internal staff by providing expert level technical support of our various IT systems. The Application Engineer contributes to Cpl by providing technical support in developing solutions; preparing and delivering product presentations / demonstrations; evaluating customer readiness and conducting training, as well as identifying and resolving application or environmental issues.

This role is ideally suited to a graduate or a person with 1-2 years' experience and who is looking for a challenging career that provides you with the ability to advance personally and professionally.

There is also the opportunity for continued professional development in the area of DevOps.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


• Responds to technical inquiries via helpdesk, phone and email, working across other teams to obtain additional information or support, and managing both internal and external customer expectations.


• Develops alternative technical solutions; planning systems integration; isolating problems and communicating technical solutions; providing support estimates.


• Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information with our own systems.


• Other responsibilities can include; software testing, creating instructions and diagnosing problems


• Practices quality service by following organisation standards.


• Creating and maintaining product standards documentation, application notes, training manuals, and knowledge base libraries.


• Conducting training sessions for both customers (domestic and international) and internal personnel.


• Some EU travel required on occasion to other offices

Desired Skills & Experience


• Graduate or 1-2 years' experience


• Willing to work hard and learn


• Highly organised with an ability to efficiently handle numerous projects simultaneously.


• Ability to quickly isolate problems and implement solutions in real-time.


• Ability to learn new concepts and systems quickly.


• An outgoing personality with a passion for supporting the customer.
