Project Manager

Project Manager The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of multiple product development projects, managing schedules, risks, budgets, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver on-time and within scope.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in structured project management methodologies and will use an established project management framework and gate review process to guide product development activities.
This role requires a solid understanding of the development of electronic hardware, embedded firmware, mechanical design, cloud data communications protocols, and test lab validation processes.
The successful candidate will be a motivated team leader, able to coordinate technical teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Lead cross-functional project teams across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supply chain disciplines.
Apply structured project management practices including planning, scheduling, risk management, issue tracking, resource allocation, and budget control.
Use and enforce the companys gate review process to drive project delivery and ensure stage-gate compliance.
Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Facilitate communication between engineering teams and internal manufacturing partners, including test engineering and new product introduction (NPI).
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate change control processes.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards relevant to life safety products.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and tools.
Required Qualifications & Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in a project management role, ideally in electronics product development.
3rd level qualification (Bachelors degree or higher) in Engineering, Science, or Technology discipline.
Formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince2, or equivalent) PMP certification preferred.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is desirable.
Proven experience in managing cross-functional product development projects using structured methodologies.
Familiarity with the following development domains is strongly desired: Electronic hardware design and development Embedded firmware and software Mechanical product design Cloud communication protocols and Io T data platforms Laboratory validation, testing, and certification processes Desirable Skills and Attributes Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work on multiple projects and manage competing priorities Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., life safety, medical, industrial controls) Proficient with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
