Overview
We are looking for a Junior Buyer to join our team
Responsibilities
Ordering:
Process daily and weekly purchase order requirements through set of preferred vendors to ensure all orders are placed correctly, on time and in full
Stock management:
Ensure stock (Fresh, Ambient, Frozen categories) is available to fulfil all customer orders, without excess.
Key performance indicators:
Missed sales; Wastes
Negotiate best credit terms and prices
(fully integrated – supplier & transport)
Build long term relationships with suppliers
Good knowledge of the food distribution sector
– fresh / frozen / dry goods.
Strong organisational and planning skills
Ability to focus and prioritise tasks
Good communicator
– both internal and external
Ability to work well under pressure
Qualifications / Experience
Education or experience in Procurement or Supply Chain is an advantage
Proficient in Word and Excel
A second language gives a distinct advantage
