The Rose Hotel is a 4 star hotel, located in Tralee, Co Kerry.We are open all year round and have 161 bedrooms, restaurants, bar, meeting rooms, function room, gym and spaThe role of Public Area Cleaner involves working both an early and a late shift.Main duties of the role are as follows:To clean and maintain all public areas to the highest standardTo clean and maintain all public toilets on a daily basisTo clean the gym & spa on a daily basis (deep clean once a week)To clean and maintain function room toilets on a daily basisTo deep clean the bar & restaurant once a weekTo clean and maintain all employee locker rooms and toiletsTo clean and maintain all guest corridors, stairs and lift lobby'sTo report any maintenance issues in public areas immediatelyTo ensure all guests receive a genuine, warm, friendly, courteous welcome on arrival and during their stay from all departmental personnelTo assist in achieving goals in relation to mystery audits, customer comment index, quality evaluations and Hotel standardsTo ensure all requests are handled promptly and efficientlyTo promote the Hotel where possibleTo ensure we always offer guests consistently high standards of quality through training and monitoring.If there is a late departure, this room is not be to cleaned unless the room can be resoldIf required to service a room to ensure that it is serviced to the agreed standard.To report any maintenance issues in bedrooms and public areas immediately.To ensure that any requests by guests for extra amenities is carried outThe ideal candidate for this role should have:Previous experience either as an Accommodation Assistant or in public area cleaning is essentialShould have excellent communication skills - fluent in EnglishMust be available to work weekends and public holidaysMust be a team player and assist colleaguesWorking hours between ***** hours a weekHours of work - Early shift 8.30am - 4.30pm Late shift is 2.30pm - 11pmBenefits of working in The Rose HotelAll year round employmentProvided with uniformProvided with meal on dutyAccess to the gym at designated timesEmployee Assistance programBike to work scheme
