The Menlo Park Hotel is recruiting a full-time Bar person/Bistro team members to join our team.Please note this is a full-time position and successful candidates must be available to work five shifts over seven days.This includes weekends, bank holidays and early and late shifts.Main Duties and responsibilitiesTo provide a friendly and efficient service within the bar, dispensing orders accurately, to the standard required according to legislation, whilst always remaining courteous and helpful in all aspects of the daily tasksGreet guests, present menus, and explain daily specials, to answer professionally questions related to menu items and upsell as appropriate.To be aware of all reservations for groups/parties and V.I.P's in advance and to have Bar set up to requirements.To serve food and beverage orders and cellar dutiesTo have a good working knowledge of wines, cocktails, and drinks and promote menus and type of food served to maximize sales and guest experience in a friendly and professional manner.To attend to the customer's needs, by either serving them drinks at the bar or with table serviceEnsure the bar and the cellar are clean and tidy at all times, and that tables and stations are set according to standards and ready prior to service.The ideal candidate will;1 years experience in a similar role preferably in a hotel.A passion for delivering outstanding customer service experience with excellent people skills.Work well as part of a team but also the ability to work on own initiative where appropriateExcellent communication skills.Must be fluent in English and be legally entitled to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.Must be available for both early or late shifts five days over sevenDue to the volume of applicants only those who meet the above criteria will be contacted.We do not require the assistance of agencies at this time.Job Type: Full-timePay: From €***** per hourBenefits:On-site parkingApplication question(s):Are you available for midweek hours ?Experience:Bar: 1 year (preferred)Work Location: In person
