Bristol Myers Squibb has been in operation in Ireland since 1964, employing over 650 people across a range of activities and business units.
Ireland is home to External manufacturing's global headquarters, the business unit responsible for the management of manufacturing contract operations (CMO's) and ensuring reliable supply of product to patients across the Bristol Myers Squibb global network.
This includes management of, and working in conjunction with, third party contract manufacturers and internal manufacturing sites.
In Ireland, External Manufacturing has two sites; Global Headquarters based in Dublin 15 and a distribution centre in Shannon, Co Clare.

The Role
Bristol Myers Squibb External Manufacturing is currently seeking applications for a 12-month contract role: Manager Financial Accountant based in Ireland.
Reporting directly to the Associate Director for External Manufacturing, this role will involve considerable interaction with cross functional colleagues both in the US and Europe.
Responsibilities
Responsible to support the completion of Management Accounts
Participate in the creation of ExM Budget and Projections
Month End reporting and commentary, variance, and trend analysis
Responsible for the preparation and follow up of key reconciliations ie Inventory at CMO Site
Product costing.
Virtual Plant Team finance representative
Where applicable ensure SOX control compliance
Support internal/External Audits as required.
Competencies & Requirements
An experienced qualified accountant with a knowledge of costing and financial analysis, accounting principles, and internal controls.
ACA, ACMA, ACCA, CPA with +3years PQE.
Strong excel skills essential and knowledge of SAP ERP desirable.
Develops strong, effective work relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate ideas and persuade others to accomplish challenging goals and objectives.
Builds and maintains a network of key individuals necessary for obtaining and disseminating information critical to the operation of the External Manufacturing Business Unit.
Demonstrated ability to work with and manage cross functional teams in a complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results from an overall corporate perspective.
Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the execution of job responsibilities.
This is a EG100 role.

This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs.
The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility.
Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
