OverviewJohn Sisk & Son are seeking a Bid Manager/Coordinator to join us in our Citywest Office.
The Bid Manager/Coordinator will have a strong bid writing focus, developing technical and business content for bids and prequalification proposals (public and private procurement), and also support the bid team with the bid pipeline by managing their bids from start to finish.
The role requires bid writing, reviewing, and editing content, working with bid team members to produce written bid responses and presentation collateral in line with customer deadlines.
The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our business strategy and development team, directing supporting our growth.
ResponsibilitiesReview and understand the bid approach and contribute to evolving it.Produce compelling bid material in line with the messaging to the customer.Discuss an approach to a bid or specific question with the Head of Service and produce the agreed response for review, uplift and sign off in areas such as value propositions, methodologies, delivery approaches, etc.Write effective, concise and compelling content while working towards multiple deadlines.Work as a team to get accurate, high-quality information from all bid stakeholders in order to produce a comprehensive and cohesive bid.Attention to detail and the ability to extract and summarise bid documents.Manage standalone bids (RFT's/PQQ's, etc.)
of varying scales as required from start to finish, which will require excellent managerial skills.Liaise with the Marketing team on RFT's / PQQ's to ensure company details are up to date and accurate.Design compelling visual content in line with Sisk brand guidelines with graphics experience.A thought leader in terms of the bid process and bid material and continually look to evolve our bid messaging and approaches.Schedule meetings and manage the department's contract and project filing structure.Assist in commercial tasks including drafting payment applications and project variations.Coordinate team communications.ExperienceExperience of technical and business writing essential within a professional bid environment (5 years+).High attention to detail with excellent writing ability.Deadline driven with effective time management skills.Ability to multitask and prioritise workload.Design skills and ability to create compelling bid contributions.Experience in end-to-end bid management.Experience of design work and design packages to create visually compelling bid content and submissions desirable.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.Shipley Bid Writing (desirable).APMP Foundation (desirable).Additional InformationCompetitive Salary with yearly increase.26 days holiday (option to purchase 5 more).Company Car or Car allowance.Employer pension.Competitive mileage rate.Travel expenses.Flexible and remote working.Enhanced parental leave.Professional and Educational development.Our people are at the heart of our success and our proposition to them is work with purpose, have time for life, build a career with no limits and surround yourself with great people.
