Overview

John Sisk & Son are seeking a Bid Manager /Coordinator to join us in our Citywest Office.

The Bid Manager /Coordinator will focus on bid writing, developing technical and business content for bids and prequalification proposals (public and private procurement), and supporting the bid team throughout the bid process.

Responsibilities
  • Review and understand the bid approach and contribute to its evolution.
  • Produce compelling bid material aligned with customer messaging.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Service to develop responses for bids, including value propositions, methodologies, and delivery approaches.
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive content under tight deadlines.
  • Coordinate with bid stakeholders to gather accurate information for comprehensive bids.
  • Manage standalone bids (RFTs/PQQs) from start to finish, demonstrating strong managerial skills.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing team to ensure company details are current on RFTs/PQQs.
  • Design visual content in accordance with Sisk branding guidelines, utilizing graphics skills.
  • Innovate and improve bid messaging and strategies continually.
  • Schedule meetings and maintain departmental filing structures.
  • Assist with commercial tasks such as drafting payment applications and project variations.
  • Coordinate team communications effectively.
Experience
  • At least 5 years of technical and business writing experience in a professional bid environment.
  • High attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Design skills for creating visually appealing bid content.
  • Experience managing end-to-end bid processes.
  • Experience with design work and creating design packages is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Shipley Bid Writing (desirable).
  • APMP Foundation certification (desirable).
