Ebury is a global fintech firm dedicated to empowering businesses to expand internationally through tailored and forward-thinking financial solutions.Since our founding in ****, we've grown to a diverse team of over 1,700 professionals across 40+ offices and 29+ markets worldwide.Joining Ebury means becoming part of a collaborative and innovative environment where your contributions are valued.You'll play a key role in shaping the future of cross-border finance, while advancing your own career in a dynamic, high-growth industry.Country Manager - IrelandOffice based in DublinEbury is a hyper-growth FinTech firm offering a range of products including FX risk management, trade finance, currency accounts, international payments and API integration.As our ambitious expansion plans continue, we are looking for a Country Manager to help accelerate the growth of our Ireland operation.This is an excellent opportunity to join Ebury at an exciting time, playing a pivotal role in the growth of a new country operation, building a team and growing a new market for our FX products and services.As a Country Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operations within your respective country, ensuring the growth and success of Ebury's services related to payments and collections, business lending, and FX risk management.The role will be responsible for hiring and managing a team of salespeople, establishing sales objectives, implementing sales programs, and maintaining and improving sales performance through training, managing and developing the team members.ResponsibilitiesEstablish sales objectives developing annual sales quotas for the region; accurate forecasting of expected sales volumeImplement regional sales programs for sales action and training plansImplement and ensure adherence to company wide sales methodology and sales administration processesLead and manage the Sales floor and manage related support staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training, counseling and disciplining where needed; planning, monitoring, and appraising job performance against quota and other metrics as neededWork closely with Marketing, Corporate Development, and Product to ensure we are communicating the appropriate product messages, and to provide feedback for positioning and development of products and product positioning/messagingMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesContribute to team effort by accomplishing specific results as neededWork with our Talent Acquisition team to recruit as fast as necessary to keep pace with demand in regionExperience (Essential and Desired)Demonstrable track record of sales leadership within financial institutions, ideally within FX or Payments.Strong commercial experience and network of contacts in the Irish marketExperience of working in a commercial bank (one or several) selling to mid size corporates.Experience in an environment different to a bank (this could be start-up vendor, FX specialist, cash management etc) is usefulExperience of the local market & "at-scale" recruitmentFluent English (spoken and written)Competencies and Personal CharacteristicsProven ability of bringing passion, energy and motivation to a teamProven track record of exceeding sales quotas and market share goalsFirst-class communication skills, able to win peoples' commitment and buy-in to a common vision and clearly stated goalsDirect experience assuming control and able to set clear objectives and execute against them with a significant (but appropriate) degree of executive autonomyDemonstrable ability to mentor, manage and develop peopleAble to provide effective leadership and direction to the sales organization whilst ensuring smooth collaboration within the broader matrixAble to provide leadership and commercial support in the field; develops sales strategies, techniques and tactics based on customer feedback and market environment; presents key selling points, features, and benefits while focusing message on customer needs and expectationsAble to build and leverage relationships at senior levels within SME customersSkilled negotiator;
