As our
Regional Rehoming Manager
, you'll oversee the smooth running of our regional rehoming hubs, foster network, customer service teams, and intake, ensuring that every stage of the dog journey, from arrival to adoption, runs seamlessly.
You'll lead high-performing, geographically dispersed teams, build strong partnerships, and make key decisions with dog welfare at the heart of everything you do.
What you'll be doing:
Lead and manage our regional rehoming hubs, foster team, and customer service team, ensuring excellence in welfare, care, and rehoming practice across multiple locations.
Manage and oversee the movement and intake of all dogs for Dogs Trust Ireland, making welfare-focused decisions to match each dog with the most suitable care pathway.
Provide clear, compassionate leadership, supporting and developing team managers and their teams through coaching, performance management, and strategic guidance.
Manage recruitment, staff appraisals, and team wellbeing, fostering a collaborative and resilient culture.
Oversee and monitor budgets, delivering financial efficiency without compromising on care quality.
Drive continuous improvement by leading projects such as SOP rollouts, IT upgrades, and operational process enhancements.
Collaborate closely with the Dublin Rehoming Centre, veterinary partners, and external hub providers to maintain the highest standards of care and service.
Build and maintain strong relationships with partner organisations, stakeholders, and third-party providers.
Ensure accurate data reporting, trend analysis, and the achievement of KPIs and OKRs in line with Dogs Trust Ireland's strategic goals.
Represent Dogs Trust professionally with the public, partners, media, and at conferences.
What We're Looking For:
Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary or geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced operational environment
Strong track record in recruitment, performance management, and staff development
Strategic thinker with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
Financial acumen with experience in budget setting and expenditure control
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
Ability to use data and reporting to inform decision-making and drive improvements
Confident managing relationships with partners, suppliers, and stakeholders
High level of digital literacy and proficient with MS Office and operational systems
Full, clean manual driving licence
Emotional resilience and a solutions-focused mindset
A knowledge of dogs and their welfare requirements
Previous experience in a kennel, animal welfare, or rehoming environment
Experience in project management & managing logistics operations
